and to address your personal insult why dont you get your mouth off of glenn beck, hannity and limbaugh’s collective proverbial dong and come to the realization that the 2008 election cycle merely had an outcome you are personally disappointed with. there’s nothing inherently racist, fascist, or communist about democratically electing Democratic majorities. and btw governmental dissent is not a necessary condition of thinking for yourself.

with my slavery comment i was illustrating a situation where government, although it took a while, played an acceptable, needed and appropriate role in fixing what was broken with america. and the article does point it’s finger at the current congress as “convicted by present facts for ineptitude and incompetence.” in point of fact democrats in congress have failed to yet implement any of their policies beyond economic recovery which really was an extension of bush policy. politicians will always be the elected few compared to the population. thats representative government. and although there probly were a few turncoats i dont think it is really the republican demographic of america’s population (or majority as you call it) fault for electing democratic (proper use of the word) majorities to congress. everyone gets their news from a source and hardly any of it is purely factual anymore so no one really thinks for themselves. but i’ll be damned if i let fox news do my thinking for me. i didnt use the word like once.

oh please, holdenparadise. your “criticism” is pathetic. the general idea here is that if you’re unhappy with the government’s 100,001 failed policies, then look first to yourself and see if you’re doing anything about it. politicians are the elected few, WE are the majority. WE should be held responsible for much of the ineptitude we see in government. all you did was turn around and say, “yeah, but there’s totally more people that you’re forgetting. like all those other dead politicians! so, like, this article is stupid.” think before you speak. you failed to mention the millions of other dead citizens, so, like, the argument still makes sense. as for: “did politicians invent the problem of slavery?” WTF are you even trying to say. get your mouth off the governments proverbial dong and try a little thinking for yourself.

it isn’t the president’s job to propose a ‘budget,’ although he has the prerogative of proposing (glorified suggestion) legislation to congress. and this person fails to notice that the entirety of those 533 people are not to blame for every single governmental ineptitude as many were recently elected to office, not to mention we’ve been a country… Read More now for 233 years. most of our leaders are dead already. did politicians invent the problem of slavery? there also seems to be a disdain here for representative government. the author should move to ancient athens.

Judged and be judged, like the good book says. But, really, these guys make a living off of making fun of people’s mistakes and appearance, the more to sell ratings with. People want to know whose cheating on who. If all our closets could be exposed we’d all be ashamed. I think that you guys are right, Letterman could do the firing, but he couln’t take it. Maybe now he knows what it’s like to be the punchline.

CBS must not care about young women being abused at the whim of Lecherman. Elliot Spitzer paid for escorts, and was crucified by Lecherman. Now Lecherman was “scared” that he was a victim! Not since Joe McCarthy shuffled off this mortal coil in 1957 has anyone made a career by accusing people of being communists. Glenn Beck has resurrected the practice. Not only has he found a cabal of secret communists, he has uncovered an entire communist corporation chock full of commies. The name of this company, you may ask?

THE NATIONAL BROADCASTING COMPANY!

You heard me right, boys and girls. The network that gave us Uncle Miltie and Ma Perkins has apparently been secretly sending subliminal messages endorsing Marxist doctrine since it was formed in 1926. This would make perfect sense to me. Every time I watched the Rockford Files I had an unexplainable desire to read Das Kapital. But seriously, folks. Twenty years after the fall of the Soviet Union, red baiting not only seems silly, it’s also kind of nuts. It’s not-at-all surprising that an organization would give this idiot a forum (after all, he’s on FOX Noise). What’s really stunning is the fact that his ratings are relatively high and that so many Americans take his word as gospel.

All kidding aside, half-witted ideologues are a dime a dozen. What separates Glenn Beck from his peers is the fact that he is doing some serious damage to the country he professes to love so much. For all of the comparisons to the Nazis he likes to make with regard to Liberals, Beck’s program has much in common with Adolf Hitler’s 1923 screed, Mein Kampf. Eighty-six years ago, Hitler attempted to arouse the anger of his fellow Germans by spouting half truths and utter nonsense – exactly what Glenn Beck is doing in 2009. So much of the insane dialogue that has been spewed forth at these Town Hall meetings across the country in recent weeks might have been lifted straight from a transcript of any of Beck’s programs.

Beck and his twisted ilk have done the seemingly impossible. They have deflected the blame for America’s current economic distress toward Barack Obama. An incredible feat when you take into consideration the fact that the President is one of the few people in government today whose guilt in the matter is almost nil. They have also let loose with a vengeance the very worst angels of the American nature. Opening this Pandora’s box was relatively easy. Closing it might prove to be a bit of a problem.

I hope a million people show up. It’s much more important than Health Care, Stimulus, Nationalizing the Auto Industry. It is steering our Country from 200 years Plus of a Capitalist Republic to a Socialist Country where the Government knows best.

You are confused it seems, although i agree with 99 percent of what you say. Socialism is an econamical philosophy, not a political one. The only way that socialism does not work is when gvernment, not the people are the share holders. This is where communism occurs. The people have been brainwashed into thinking that the root of socialism is a political agenda.
